Apple has introduced a micro USB connector in the UK to outsmart the EU regulations standard charger for all mobile phones sold in Europe. This connector works with micro USB cable for connection to a computer or to perform charging.
Apple along with other phone makers agree with the standardization of mobile phone charger last June, which should be started after 2012. Apple remains adamant with their standard 30 pin connector instead of changing the design of the iPhone, but this adapter will charge all existing iPhone. It remains unclear whether they will sell these adapters outside of Europe.
